What does Last Chance do?
Last Chance Animal Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to minimize the euthanasia of homeless pets through both adoption and providing low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter for both dogs and cats.
| Last Chance operates in DC, MD and VA. Last Chance rescues from more than 25 high-kill shelters in five different states and provides hurricane and disaster-relief services. Last Chance partners with 26 PetSmarts and Petcos in DC, MD and VA. Last Chance rescues and rehomes nearly 10,000 pets every year. Since 1999, we’ve provided permanent, loving homes for more than 100,000 pets in DC, MD and VA. Last Chance envisions the elimination of needless euthanasia simply because people don’t spay and neuter their pets. |

So you want to adopt a dog?
Great! My very best suggestion is to contact your local animal control and see what they have available! They usually have an incredible selection of dogs and usually they come already spayed and neutered and sometimes even housetrained!!
So you want to adopt a cat?
Cats that are available for adoption are on display at local PETsMART Luv-A-Pet Centers in the Washington D.C. area.
